PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:

AST-IMC-XX series unmanaged and managed industrial media converters are designed for
harsh industrial environments. The converters are a cost-effective solution that run on a +48
VDC power input and can operate reliably in temperatures ranging from -20°C to 70°C.
AST-IMC-U-XX series converters can be deployed both with DIN Rail and wall mounting
installation.

Astel Industrial Media Converter AST-IMC-PoE-8E2U2S is 10/100 un-managed industrial
PoE switch. It has 8x10/100 PoE Ports and 2x100/1000 GBE Ports and 2 x GB SFP
Ports. 1-8 Ports support IEEE 802af/at PoE standard, single port PoE power up to
30W per port. As a PoE power supply equipment, it can automatically detect and
recognize the power receiver equipment that meets the standard and supply power
through the network cable.
AST-IMC-U-XX series media converters integrate LFP (Link Fault pass through) DIP switch
setting and link status LEDs, those are easy to monitor the link status and fast to detect/
recover the link failures. Embedded Auto-MDI/MDIX and auto-negotiation features on RJ45
port, the converters can automatically detect and configure the best mode of operation.

Conforms to IEEE 802.3af/at PoE Power supply standard. Automatically recognizes PoE devices
for power supply, without damaging non-PoE devices. The maximum PoE power output is 240W
and maximum power output for single port is 30W.
